Job summary

Hyatt Place Boston / Braintree is seeking a part-time, on-site Bartender to serve guests and maintain the bar setup. You will stock beverages, garnish, and present drinks following standard recipes while ensuring quality and portion control.

This role requires strong guest interaction and adherence to alcohol-service rules. Previous hotel or hospitality experience is preferred; good communication skills and basic math for cash handling are essential.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Must communicate well with guests.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of beverages.
• Basic mathematical skills for cash handling and POS operations.
• Ability to remember and promote menu items with or without accommodations.
• Ability to operate POS to pre-check orders and close checks.

Responsibilities

• Maintains daily bar setup and stocks beer, wine, spirits, paper goods, straws, and condiments.
• Maintains garnishes and perishables stock; preserves product quality.
• Greets guests and takes drink orders; presents drinks per standard recipes.
• Adheres to state, federal and corporate alcohol-service requirements.
• Inputs orders into POS, creates checks, and balances beverages served.
• Handles cash, makes change, verifies charges, and secures vouchers.
• Locks and stores beverages and equipment, deposits cash drops as needed.
• Attends work regularly and performs other duties as assigned.
