Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation seeks a Banquets Manager with three years of hotel banquet experience, including leadership in front-of-house operations. You will plan, supervise, and coordinate daily banquet functions, work with catering and sales teams, and ensure service excellence across events.

The position requires strong organization, cash handling experience, and knowledge of Excel. Colorado alcohol/server certifications or timely attainment are needed; resume attachment is required.

Competenze

• 2 years of previous work history/education required.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in hotel banquet management.
• Prior experience as banquet captain and server in a 4-diamond hotel, preferred.
• Previous cash handling experience required.
• Prefer experience with RTP and UltiPro; Delphi knowledge helpful.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office with Excel.
• Must be highly organized and detailed oriented; able to work with multiple departments in a high-pressure environment.
• Previous experience with basic food service administrative functions (ordering, inventory, staff scheduling, cash reports).
• Experience with a variety of commercial food service equipment.
• Ability to problem solve and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff.
• Ability to be a consistent role model for Service Excellence standards.
• Colorado approved Alcohol Server Training certificate or attend within 30 days of employment.
• Current Food Handler and Aller-train certification or attend within 14 days of employment.

• Function as a highly independent, detail oriented professional ensuring that all aspects of events have been addressed.
• Ensure high-quality standards and presentation of each event focusing on service excellence.
• Review all BEOs to ensure readiness for all functions.
• Plan, supervise, and coordinate daily banquet operations.
• Supervise and assist with setup, service, and cleanup of events.
• Coordinate with Catering, Sales, and F&B Managers to plan services.
• Plan and conduct staff meetings; coordinate activities and assign work.
• Monitor guest counts and ensure accurate billing for meetings and meals.
• Collaborate with Restaurant Managers to cross-utilize staff.
• Enforce alcohol policies and ensure safety compliance.
• Order supplies and manage inventory for banquet-related items.
• Report client feedback to senior management for ongoing improvement.
• Adhere to all company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
