Highgate Hotels is seeking an Accounting Clerk to manage payroll processing, cash handling, and accounts receivable processing and collections with precision and timely execution. The role emphasizes accuracy, daily cash management, and compliance with hotel standards.

Responsibilities include processing payroll inputs, depositing funds, reconciling cash, generating reports, and supporting credit activities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; related hotel experience preferred.
• Associate field college courses preferred.
• Proficient in Windows, company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing.
• Willing to work flexible, long hours when required.
• Sedentary work; ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
• Strong customer service and friendly demeanor.
• Effective written and verbal communication with all staff and guests.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Cross-train in other hotel areas.
• Attend required meetings and maintain regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll data and hours using time and attendance system.
• Verify payroll inputs and outputs for accuracy.
• Prepare financial reports per hotel deadlines.
• Process deposits and cash handling per standards.
• Maintain cash/change stocks and issue cashier banks.
• Prepare Cash Over/Short reports monthly and yearly.
• Audit cashier banks and maintain documentation.
• Handle due backs timely and manage cashier contracts.
• Process petty cash receipts and reimbursements.
• Assist sales in establishing customer credit per policies.
