Job summary

Encore Hospitality is seeking a Hotel Accounting Clerk to manage financial transactions, payroll for hotel staff, and maintain accurate records. You will oversee daily accounting operations and support financial health of the hotel, ensuring accurate reporting and timely payroll.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, hospitality experience preferred, and proficiency with accounting software and payroll systems. This on-site position offers growth within the hotel’s finance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or similar certification is a plus.
• Experience in accounting and payroll management, preferably in hospitality or hotel settings.
• Familiarity with accounting software and payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, review transactions for accuracy.
• Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll, recording hours, overtime and leaves.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/local payroll regulations and tax withholding.
• Assist with internal and external audits and financial reporting.
• Use accounting and payroll systems, troubleshoot issues, and train staff as needed.
• Coordinate with HR/management on financial matters and vendor relationships.
