Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in the United States is seeking a friendly Host/Hostess to ensure warm welcomes, coordinate reservations, and provide attentive service to all guests during dining hours. You will greet guests, manage seating and wait lists, handle phone reservations, and support servers to create memorable experiences.

A background in hospitality and strong communication are valued, with weekend and evening availability often required.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
• Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Able to learn, retain, and present product, menu and allergy information to guests.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn the restaurant POS and reservation systems.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and a real passion for hospitality.
• Food Handler Certification (if applicable).
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide information about the area.
• Take reservations and seating coordination.
• Handle paperwork, stock and tidy the host stand.
• Receive calls and accurately book reservations.
• Take room service orders if applicable.
• Check floor and tables for cleanliness; assist in bussing tables.
• Help servers with beverage refills.
• Perform other restaurant and customer service related requests.
• May take on additional responsibilities as needed.
