Job summary

The Roof Restaurant, part of Temple Square Hospitality Corporation, seeks a friendly Host to welcome guests at our upscale venue in downtown Salt Lake City. This part-time role offers 10–20 hours per week, with 2–3 shifts and competitive pay of $17.00–$18.00 per hour.

You will manage reservations, greet guests, and support a seamless dining experience. Ideal candidates have guest-service experience, strong communication, and reliable punctuality, with a professional appearance.

Located inside the historic Joseph Smith Memorial Building on Temple Square, The Roof Restaurant offers unforgettable dining and event experiences in one of the most beautiful venues in Utah. Key Responsibilities

Job Environment/Other Job Requirements

• May be required to work outside of regular business hours, including weekends, early mornings, and holidays, to accommodate business needs
• Standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Ability to repetitively bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check, as well as abide by all company policies
• Takes on additional duties as required or assigned by management

Compensation

$17.00 - $18.00/hour This range is inclusive of multiple job levels. Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to evaluation of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with market data.

In 1988, Temple Square Hospitality was organized to service the dining needs of those visiting Temple Square and Salt Lake City. Since then, it has grown into a full-scale catering department, a fine-dining 10th floor restaurant, and a quick-service restaurant in the lobby of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. The company's primary objective is to deliver an outstanding food and service experience to all guests, thereby creating lasting memories between family and friends.
