Job summary

Temple Square Hospitality Corporation is seeking a part-time Busser for The Roof Restaurant in downtown Salt Lake City, inside the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. The role supports servers, clears and resets tables, and maintains a pristine dining environment to ensure memorable guest experiences.

Earn $7.00/hour plus tips (top performers typically $18–$25/hour). 20–30 hours per week across 3–5 shifts, with opportunities to grow within Utah's iconic upscale dining destination.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Strong work ethic and the ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Clear tables promptly and efficiently by removing dishes, glassware, and utensils
• Reset tables to restaurant standards including proper placement of linens, silverware, and glassware
• Assist servers by refilling water glasses and providing guest support when needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, side stations, and service areas
• Assist with polishing silverware, glassware, and restocking supplies
• Support servers and runners during high-volume service periods
• Assist with private events, large parties, and busy service shifts
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and guest-focused service
• Perform additional duties as assigned

From upscale dining at The Roof Restaurant overlooking the Salt Lake Valley to elegant banquets and celebrations, our team delivers exceptional hospitality, outstanding food, and memorable guest experiences.

Job Environment/Other Job Requirements

• May be required to work outside of regular business hours, including weekends, early mornings, and holidays, to accommodate business needs
• Standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Ability to repetitively bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check, as well as abide by all company policies
• Takes on additional duties as required or assigned by management

Compensation

• $7.00/hr + Tips (Top bussers can earn $18-$25/hr depending on shift availability, guest volumes, and individual performance) This range is inclusive of multiple job levels. Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to evaluation of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with market data.
