About Cabra Los Angeles

Cabra, which translates to “goat” in Spanish, draws inspiration from Stephanie Izard’s travels throughout Peru in Lima, Arequipa, and Cusco, capturing the vast flavors and culture from her experiences abroad. A bright restaurant atop LA’s buzzing Broadway, Cabra celebrates a vibrant dining experience featuring panoramic views and an airy, lively atmosphere, making for a true getaway.

Host Responsibilities Include

• Warmly and graciously greet all guests
• Escort guests to their assigned table at a comfortable pace while making friendly conversation
• Answer phone calls, relay messages, book and confirm reservations
• Maintain reservation books to maximize covers while booking appropriately
• Maintain ongoing communication with management and Chefs; alert them of possible waits, guest issues, high-profile guests, etc.
• Coordinate and maintain a wait list, keeping regular communication with waiting guests
• Maintain restroom cleanliness and supplies

Qualifications

• 1-2 years hosting experience in a busy restaurant encouraged, but not required
• Experience with Opentable or similar POS programs
• Open availability on Saturday and Sunday is a must
• Polished, professional, warm, and hospitable

This position is ideal for someone dedicated to providing great service and seeking to join a hardworking and fun team.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds
• Safely use all necessary tools, equipment, and cleaning chemicals
• Stand and walk throughout the entire shift, including stairs, uneven, and slick surfaces
• Exposure to hot and cold environments
