The Shack Breakfast and Lunch is seeking an energetic host/hostess to greet guests, seat them promptly, and manage wait times with a friendly, professional manner.

You will present menus, answer questions about the menu, and help ensure a smooth flow of guests from arrival to seating, while keeping the host area clean and organized.

Qualificações

• Experience in guest services or hospitality is preferred.
• Ability to greet guests warmly and manage a waiting list.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

You are the first person the guest sees. We are looking for an energetic and personable individual to fill this position. This individual is responsible for greeting guests at the door. The host/hostess seats and presents clean menus to guests in a friendly, professional and quick manner. The individual is also responsible for quoting wait times and ensure that they are comfortable waiting for their dining experience.

Essential Functions

• Greets guests with a smile and presents menus to guests as they are seated.
• Treats all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strives to exceed guests' expectations.
• Takes names on a waiting list.
• Runs the floor plan board.
• Observes tables and keeps track of clean, dirty and occupied tables.
• Takes guest information and quotes wait times to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available.
• Cleans, organizes and stocks menus at host area.
• Answers phone and answers questions concerning the menu and restaurant.
• Interacts with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure positive dining experience.
• Maintains restrooms throughout shift.
• Sweeps foyer and front entrance area frequently.
