Job summary

Bell’s and New Belgium is seeking a Hospitality Manager-level professional in Daleville, VA to organize day-to-day operations across tasting room, events team, and tours. You will ensure the department meets annual plans and maintains exceptional guest experiences.

You have 3+ years in leadership and customer service, strong beer knowledge, and superb communication. Responsibilities include staffing, budgeting support, inventory, and delivering world-class service during shifts and events.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership and customer service experience.
• Knowledge of Bell’s and New Belgium brands and culture within 6 months.
• Advanced verbal and written communication including public speaking.
• Understanding of beer industry trends and alcohol service laws.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the team; hire, train, coach, and assess performance.
• Support Hospitality Manager with planning and budgeting.
• Ensure world-class guest experiences and timely guest inquiries.
• Oversee opening/closing of tasting room; schedule staff and events.
• Monitor inventory; manage POS info and menu accuracy.
• Assist with event and tour programming as needed.
• Perform tasting room duties and support events when required.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Job description

This position is responsible for organizing day-to-day operations and managing multiple areas which may include the tasting room, events team, and tours associated with the site. This position will help ensure that the department meets annual business plan and maintains a high level of customer experience.

Essential Duties

• Manage and develop team, including hiring and training, performance, and coaching
• Assists the Hospitality Manager with organization, planning, and implementation of departmental strategy and budget.
• Ensures staff is delivering a world class guest experience and meeting departmental objectives. Including timely responsiveness to guest inquiries (phone, email, etc.)
• Manage opening and closing of the site tasting room; planning and scheduling of staff, event, facility needs and food trucks/vendors
• Assists with overseeing inventory management, monitoring and ordering related to supplies, beer, and POS; ensures all menu, POS information is accurate and updated
• Assist the Senior Hospitality team as needed with event and tour programming
• Perform all tasting room job duties as needed including customer service and tours; may be required to work shifts and/or provide management during events as needed
• Other projects and duties as assigned

Education/ Experience/Skills

• 3+ years of leadership and customer service experience
• Knowledge of all NBB and Bells brands, history, process, and culture, required within 6 months of hire
• Advanced verbal and written communication, including public speaking
• Knowledge of the beer industry and trends, a plus
• Thorough understanding of legal requirements for serving alcohol
• High level interpersonal and mediation skills. Ability to deal with difficult situations and resolve matters appropriately and effectively

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 90 lbs. 10 inches, and carry up to 40 lbs 100 feet.
• Ability to push/pull weights up to 50 lbs. and maintain the grip strength required to carry objects including buckets and cases.
• Must also show fine motor dexterity.
• Demonstrate their ability to climb stairs, stoop, kneel, twist, squat and reach overhead.
• The position requires frequent, constant standing and walking.

Production Wage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is Bell’s and New Belgium’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.

Starting Hourly Rate

$25.00-$29.00/hour
