Job summary

Hornblower Group, a global leader in experiences and transportation, is seeking a Server Assistant to support servers, ensure prompt delivery and removal of food and beverages, and provide hospitable service aboard our vessels and while exploring the skyline.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to lift heavy items, and availability for nights, weekends and major holidays. The role emphasizes guest hospitality, safety, teamwork and a proactive, guest-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must meet minimum state age requirements.
• Must be able to lift furniture and other heavy items.
• Strong customer service, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Maintain a high level of organization, detailed oriented and meet deadlines.
• Handle multiple tasks/projects at one time.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional hospitality to guests.
• Clean up used and unneeded dishes and glassware from guests’ tables to galley.
• Scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry dishes and other tableware to the galley for cleaning.
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of all common areas and service stations.
• Set up and break down dining room and service stations as prescribed.
• Provide information to guests including menu descriptions, order of service, entertainment options, cruise route and points of interest.
• Assist with the warm and efficient greeting and seating of guests when they arrive.
• Additional job duties as assigned
