Job summary

Hampton Inn Melbourne-Viera in Melbourne, FL is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to lead hotel operations, mentor staff, and uphold Hilton standards in the General Manager’s absence. This hands-on leadership role requires confidence, flexibility, and a passion for hospitality excellence.

As the Assistant General Manager you’ll drive guest satisfaction, oversee front office and revenue initiatives, coordinate maintenance and safety, and ensure daily ops meet brand expectations

Qualifications

• Minimum supervisory/management experience
• Hilton PEP OS experience required
• 2–5 years in hospitality
• Strong leadership, communication, and guest-service skills
• Solid understanding of front desk operations, reservations, and night audit
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
• Hotel Management degree or related education preferred (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day hotel operations and mentor team members
• Drive guest satisfaction and respond to guest feedback
• Oversee front office cash handling, credit control, and accounting procedures
• Support revenue goals through occupancy management and upselling
• Ensure brand standards and SOPs are followed across all departments
• Coordinate maintenance and safety procedures
• Participate in MOD program and cover shifts as needed
• Maintain inventory and par levels for departments
