Highgate Hotels in Newark, NJ offers a 2027 Operations Internship beginning in June. The role provides exposure to multiple departments in a fast-paced hotel environment.

You will rotate across operations, learn industry basics, and participate in required trainings while developing guest service and team collaboration skills. Ideal candidates are pursuing a related bachelor's degree, enjoy a hands-on learning approach, and can commit to working onsite on a flexible schedule including weekends

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Hotel/Hospitality Management, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and a solid work ethic.
• Direct involvement with management and employees requires strong communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and provide feedback to management.
• Flexible schedule with availability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with employees and guests in verbal and written form.
• Listen, understand, and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests.
• Multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Attend all required meetings and trainings.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming in uniform.
• Assist in cross-training in other hotel-related areas and support management.
