Sonesta International Hotels in Rosemont, IL is seeking an HR Manager to lead the employee experience across a fast-paced hospitality environment. You will partner with hotel leadership on recruitment, onboarding, engagement, performance management, and compliance, ensuring a positive workplace culture and strong HR operations.

The role requires 3+ years in HR, a bachelor’s in a related field, and experience with HRIS systems such as Workday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of Human Resources experience, ideally in hospitality or fast-paced service environments.
• Working knowledge of HRIS systems and HR reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day HR operations for the hotel and provide employee experience support.
• Partner with leaders on recruitment, onboarding, retention, and workforce planning.
• Guide employee relations, performance coaching, investigations, and conflict resolution.
• Drive engagement, recognition, training, culture, and communication initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company HR policies.
• Maintain HR records, reporting, audits, and HRIS updates with confidentiality.
• Assist with leave, benefits, payroll coordination, and employee inquiries.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Benefits, and Operations to meet staffing needs.
• Monitor turnover and feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support training and development including onboarding and leadership programs.
