Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Maryland is seeking a friendly Host to greet guests, manage seating and reservations, and support a warm dining room experience.

As the first and last impression, you will open doors, escort guests, and coordinate with FOH teams to ensure smooth service. No prior restaurant experience required; comprehensive training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours or more a day.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and lift items up to 25 pounds.
• Guest-oriented mindset with positive relationships among team members.
• Attention to cleanliness and safety procedures.
• Reliable transportation and 18+ for FOH positions.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly as they arrive and thank them as they leave.
• Open doors and create a friendly, inviting first impression.
• Escort guests to their table and set expectations for their experience.
• Manage reservations and waitlists using OpenTable with accuracy and care.
• Communicate wait times clearly and professionally during peak volume.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and entryway.
• Support the dining room by bussing and resetting tables as needed to maintain flow and cleanliness.
• Partner with the Front of House team to ensure smooth, seamless service.
