Job summary

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking a Host to create a warm welcome, escort guests, and set expectations for their dining experience. You’ll manage reservations and waitlists with OpenTable, maintain a clean, inviting host stand, and collaborate with the Front of House team to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours or more a day.
• Ability to be patient and have a guest-oriented mindset.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with all team members.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly as they arrive and thank them as they leave.
• Open doors and create a friendly first impression.
• Escort guests to their table and set expectations for their experience.
• Manage reservations and waitlists using OpenTable with accuracy and care.
• Communicate wait times clearly and professionally during peak volume.
• Maintain a clean, organized host stand and entryway.
• Assist with bussing to maintain flow and cleanliness.
• Partner withFront of House team for smooth service.
