BALBOA BAY CLUB VENTURES LLC is seeking an entry-level Guest Services Associate in Newport Beach to greet guests, assist with merchandise selections, and process payments with care. You will maintain store presentation, support inventory tasks, and help ensure a seamless guest experience in a hotel/resort setting.

The role requires basic math, strong communication, and the ability to learn POS and hotel computer systems while upholding safety and PPE protocols.

Qualifications

• Six months customer service or retail experience, preferably in a hotel/resort.
• General knowledge of retail and cash handling procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to learn and use POS and hotel computer systems.
• English language literacy required to understand instructions and communicate with guests.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival and assist with merchandise selection.
• Provide information about items and help guests choose suitable products.
• Upsell items to maximize profitability while maintaining service quality.
• Operate a cash register and process payments (cash, card, or room charges).
• Balance payments and report to sales records; wrap and ship orders when needed.
• Assist with receiving, stocking, pricing and display of merchandise; conduct inventory as needed.
• Address guest complaints within authority and escalate to management when necessary.
• Report unsafe conditions or equipment issues to supervisor; follow PPE and safety rules.
