Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Vacaville, CA is seeking a Breakfast Attendant to deliver exceptional guest service in the hotel's complimentary breakfast area. You will greet guests, assist with seating, maintain cleanliness, stock service areas, and support all beverage and food service operations while complying with health standards.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent, ability to work varied hours including evenings and weekends, and a Food Handlers card.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform job function with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
• Must meet the legal age to serve alcoholic beverages and satisfactorily pass responsible serving course.
• Must be able to obtain and provide Food Handlers card as required by city/county/state.
• Willingness to learn new tasks and provide back-up and support to other team members.
• Ability to communicate professionally when answering phones and speaking with guests and team members.
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and a desire to be of service to others.

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a courteous and service-oriented manner.
• Greet and seat guests at appropriate tables in a timely manner.
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and grooming including proper uniform and name tag.
• Ensure quality control of menus with regard to cleanliness and appearance.
• Clear, clean and reset tables and hotel spaces per client request or management instruction.
• Support all beverage and food service areas including dishwashing, restocking, cleaning and floor care.
• Carry out cashiering, closing checks and end-of-shift paperwork.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and side work duties.
• Provide information about the hotel, brand standards, local area attractions and things to do.
