Job summary

Highgate Hotels, LP is seeking a Breakfast Attendant at Residence Inn San Jose. The role focuses on friendly, efficient service in the complimentary breakfast area and requires flexible scheduling and a positive guest relations approach.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, maintaining presentation standards, assisting with beverage and food service, and performing cashiering tasks. This is a part-time hourly position in San Jose, CA.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to work varied shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must obtain a Food Handler's card as required by local regulations.
• Able to communicate professionally with guests and teammates.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with guests and coworkers in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Greet and seat guests promptly and manage table cleanliness.
• Maintain high appearance standards and wear the proper uniform.
• Stock, organize, and tidy service areas as directed.
• Assist with beverage and food service, including dishwashing and restocking.
• Know menus and specials to answer guest questions confidently.
• Perform cashiering duties and end-of-shift paperwork.
• Assist with opening/closing duties and side work per rotation.
• Communicate VIPs and special requests to other departments.
