Job summary

Highgate Hotels in San Jose is seeking a Breakfast Attendant to deliver warm, efficient service in the hotel’s complimentary breakfast area. You will greet guests, maintain cleanliness, and support beverage and food service to ensure a superior guest experience.

Candidates should value attention to detail, possess strong guest relations skills, and be prepared for a varied schedule including mornings and weekends. Hotel or food service experience is preferred to join our team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Willing and able to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages and complete required responsible serving training (TIPs).
• Maintain professional appearance and grooming aligned with hotel standards.
• Demonstrate strong guest relations and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Approach guests and colleagues with a friendly, service-oriented attitude.
• Greet and seat guests, maintain cleanliness of breakfast areas, and ensure menus are current and presentable.
• Prepare and serve beverages and coffee to high standards; assist with food service as needed.
• Restock and reset service areas, assist with side-work, and maintain kitchen and dining room organization.
• Provide excellent cashiering support and close checks as required.
• Answer questions about hotel services and local area attractions.
