Block by Block is hiring a Hospitality Ambassador in Raleigh, NC. The role focuses on keeping public spaces clean and welcoming, engaging with pedestrians, and providing city information with a friendly attitude.

Responsibilities include litter removal, graffiti/poster removal, straightening surfaces, and reporting safety concerns. Training is provided; must be 18+, HS diploma or GED, and able to work outdoors in all conditions.

Job Title: Hospitality Ambassador

Pay Range: $19.06to $19.06per hour (Weekly Pay & Pay Advance Before Pay Day!)

What You'll Be Doing:

• This role will provide a high level of visibility at the street level to carry out a wide variety of tasks to improve the overall experience and appearance of the zone they are assigned to. Must maintain a positive, professional demeanor at all times.
• Actively acknowledge and engage pedestrians and visitors with a friendly greeting/smile in order to provide directions and/or city information.
• Litter removal -- While moving through the zone with a rolling trash can that has supplies/tools, remove litter: fast food bags, cups, soda cans, cigarette butts, and other debris on the streets/sidewalks and alleys. Remove graffiti and posters from light posts, trash cans, news boxes, etc. Pull weeds.
• Damp wipe and straighten outdoor surfaces, such as trash can lids, news boxes, etc.
• Be watchful for unwanted behaviors or criminal activity and report to the Safety Ambassadors via two-way radios. Must be able to complete basic daily reports of tasks completed, which requires being proficient in speaking, reading, and writing the English language.
