Job summary

Block by Block is seeking a Hospitality Ambassador to maintain a friendly, safe, and clean public space. You will greet pedestrians, guide visitors, and perform litter removal while representing the company in outdoor environments.

Open availability is required, HS Diploma or GED is needed, and a valid driver's license is preferred. Training provided; indoor/outdoor work with weekly pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Maintain a positive, professional demeanor in all interactions.
• Ability to walk and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-visibility street-level presence to improve the zone's experience.
• Acknowledge and engage pedestrians with friendly greetings to offer directions or city information.
• Litter removal and outdoor surface upkeep, including wiping surfaces and managing trash.
• Monitor for safety concerns and report to Safety Ambassadors; complete basic task reports in English.

Job Title: Hospitality Ambassador

Pay Range: $22.00 to $22.00 per hour (Weekly Pay & Pay Advance Before Payday!)

What You'll Be Doing

• This role will provide a high level of visibility at the street level to carry out a wide variety of tasks to improve the overall experience and appearance of the zone they are assigned to. Must maintain a positive, professional demeanor at all times.
• Actively acknowledge and engage pedestrians and visitors with a friendly greeting/smile in order to provide directions and/or city information.
• Litter removal -- While moving through the zone with a rolling trash can that has supplies/tools, remove litter: fast food bags, cups, soda cans, cigarette butts, and other debris on the streets/sidewalks and alleys. Remove graffiti and posters from light posts, trash cans, news boxes, etc. Pull weeds.
• Damp wipe and straighten outdoor surfaces, such as trash can lids, news boxes, etc.
• Be watchful for unwanted behaviors or criminal activity and report to the Safety Ambassadors via two-way radios. Must be able to complete basic daily reports of tasks completed, which requires being proficient in speaking, reading, and writing the English language.

• Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language in order to create basic reports.
