Job summary

Highgate Hotels seeks an Accounts Receivable Clerk to support the Accounting and Finance department. You will process payments, post revenues, and monitor invoices to ensure accurate receivables and secure revenue.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree or equivalent and 1–2 years in AR, with proficiency in Opera and strong attention to detail. This is an hourly, full-time role based in Kentucky with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years accounts receivable or similar experience preferred.
• Proficient in Opera software.
• Strong math and accuracy; ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, percentages.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Post customer payments by recording cash, check, and credit card transactions.
• Post revenues by verifying and entering transactions from lock box and local deposits.
• Update receivables by totaling unpaid invoices.
• Maintain records by scanning and filing invoices, debits, and credits.
• Verify the validity of account discrepancies by obtaining information from sales and customer service.
• Resolve valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries.
• Resolve invalid or unauthorized deductions by following procedures.
• Resolve collections by examining payment plans and coordinating with collections team.
• Summarize receivables by maintaining invoice accounts and preparing reports.
• Protect the organization’s information by keeping it confidential.
• Accomplish related duties as assigned.
