Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our night team in a busy inpatient setting.

You will work with two physicians per shift to deliver rapid and lifesaving emergency care across cardiovascular, neurologic or trauma ICU services within a premier medical center. A Board Certified or Board Eligible ACNP/AGACNP or PA, with prescriptive authority and Indiana RN license, along with a Masters degree in Nursing, are required.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of hire date or transfer date required.
• Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing within 6 months of hire date.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing prior to hire date.
• Master's degree in Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Join an established team of APPs to provide night coverage.
• Inpatient practice supported by two physicians per shift.
• Provide rapid, lifesaving emergency care in critical care units.
• Perform invasive procedures such as central line placement, intubation, and lumbar punctures.
• Work within a Level 1 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, Burn Center, and advanced critical care resources.

• Practice setting: inpatient supported by 2 physicians each shift
• Access to practice within a premier medical center featuring a Level 1 Trauma Center , Comprehensive Stroke Center , Burn Center, and advanced critical care resources
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP/AGACNP) or Physician Assistant.
• Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
• Enhance Critical Patient Access: Provide rapid, lifesaving emergency care in life-threatening situations, executing advanced bedside procedures efficiently for Cardiovascular, Neurologic or Trauma Intensive Care Units.
• Clinical Procedures: Perform necessary invasive procedures with precision, including central line placement, intubation, and lumbar punctures.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Nurse Practitioner specializing in Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Education: Master's degree of Nursing required.
