Ascension Cardiology in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for inpatient cardiology with consultative duties across the hospital, including critical care settings. This employed role offers a strong referral base, no formal call schedule, and access to a robust health system.

Youll join a team of 1 physician and 1 APP, with CME support, malpractice coverage, and opportunities for growth within Ascensions national network.

Qualifications

• BLS within 1 month of hire date (required).
• NP credentialing from Indiana Board of Nursing within 6 months of hire date (required).
• Multiple NP/RN credential options must be valid for state practice.
• Masters Degree of Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Join an established team of 1 physician and 1 APP.
• No call schedule for this inpatient cardiology role.
• Consultative service across hospital including critical care areas.
• Manage patient care autonomously across the continuum in cardiology.
• Cardiology inpatient hospitalist focus; no formal call schedule.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Practitioner specializing in Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
  • Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
  • Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the National Certification Corporation (NCC) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• Masters Degree of Nursing required.

Work Experience:

• 1 year of experience preferred.
