Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join a night coverage team in a busy hospital setting.

You will work in inpatient care with two physicians per shift, perform invasive procedures, and be eligible for Indiana licensure and DEA registration. This full-time role includes rotating night shifts within a major medical campus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree of Nursing required.
• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date required.
• Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority credentialed in Indiana within 6 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Join an established team of APPs to provide night coverage.
• Practice setting: inpatient managed by 2 physicians per shift.
• Care within a Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center.
• Perform invasive procedures with precision as needed.

• Join an established team of 8 APPs to provide night coverage
• Call structure: None
• Practice setting: inpatient supported by 2 physicians each shift.
• Access to practice within a premier medical center featuring a Level 1 Trauma Center , Comprehensive Stroke Center , Burn Center, and advanced critical care resources.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP/AGACNP) or Physician Assistant.
• Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
• Enhance Critical Patient Access : Provide rapid, lifesaving emergency care in life-threatening situations, executing advanced bedside procedures efficiently for Cardiovascular, Neurologic or Trauma Intensive Care Units.
• Clinical Procedures : Perform necessary invasive procedures with precision, including central line placement, intubation, and lumbar punctures.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Practitioner specializing in Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Master's degree of Nursing required.
