Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis (86th Street) seeks a board-eligible MD/DO Internal Medicine Hospitalist for an employed position at its flagship campus. The role features a 7-on/7-off schedule (7 a.m.–7 p.m.), sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will work in a Level 1 trauma center with 800+ beds, collaborating with 80+ providers across 22–23 teams, and benefit from a closed ICU model with intensivist support for focused clinical care.

Qualifications

• MD/DO license from Indiana required prior to hire date.
• Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine.
• Advanced Life Support preferred (AHA/ARC accepted).

Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity care as part of a Level 1 trauma center team.
• Manage daily patient census with an admissions team handling intake.
• Collaborate with a large multi-provider group and rely on a robust support network.
• Utilize Sunrise EMR to coordinate care across the medical group.
• Engage in residency and fellowship programs for ongoing learning.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Internal Medicine Hospitalist to join an employed position within Ascension St. Vincent’s flagship location.

• High-Acuity Clinical Exposure: Practice at a premier Level 1 trauma center and 800+ bed flagship facility, covering diverse adult units including the burn center and the new brain and spine center.
• Drive Clinical Excellence: Manage a manageable daily census of 15–16 patients, focusing on high-quality rounding while a dedicated admissions team handles intake.
• Collaborative Team Environment: Join a massive, growing team of over 80 providers working within 22–23 physician teams daily, ensuring a supportive peer network.
• Enhance Patient Outcomes through Specialization: Benefit from a closed ICU model supported by dedicated intensivists, allowing you to focus on specialized medical floors.

Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis (86th Street) is our flagship 800+ bed facility and a Level 1 Trauma Center. It serves as a regional hub with 8 Centers of Excellence, including the Heart Center, Transplant Center, and the Lucas Family Brain & Spine Hospital. What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
