Job summary

StoneSprings Hospital Center is seeking a Switchboard PBX Operator to answer incoming calls, direct calls to the right personnel, and respond to code phone alarms. You will greet visitors and provide hospital directions while assisting with call billing and extensions.

Prerequisites include 2–5 years of switchboard or customer service experience and possibly medical terminology knowledge. Weekend and night shifts rotate with weekday nights.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years’ experience switchboard operator/customer service experience is preferred.
• Medical terminology is a plus.
• Able to work weekday nights mixed with rotating weekend day shift 7a-7p.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and route to appropriate personnel; respond to alarms.
• Greet visitors and provide hospital directions; assist with call billing and extensions.
• Process long-distance calls for various departments/doctors’ offices.
• Manage patient mail/flowers with volunteers.
