• Switchboard experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Switchboard/PBX to direct calls to appropriate departments.
• Provide routine information to callers and document interactions in logs.
• Perform clerical duties as assigned and support discharge planning.
• Participate in CQI studies as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information while handling calls.
• Flexibly adjust schedule to meet patient and family needs and provide discharge counseling.
• Occasionally may require overtime to meet department needs.
• Perform other assigned duties as required.
