Job summary

Copley Hospital, located in Morrisville/Stowe VT, is seeking a Sous Chef to join our kitchen leadership. This role supports the Executive Chef with daily operations, development, inventory, purchasing, and cost control, while supervising staff and ensuring top-quality meals for patients and visitors.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
3–4 years of hospital or institutional cooking as a head cook.
Advanced culinary skills; interpersonal and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

Lead and teach staff in the execution of all menus.
Oversee kitchen operations, monitor food production and presentation.
Assist in inventory, purchasing, budgeting and staff scheduling.
Ensure sanitation and ServeSafe guidelines are followed.
Maintain proper food labeling, storage and product rotation.
Ensure compliance with state, local and ServSafe standards.
