Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group USA company, is seeking a Sous Chef for a 200-bed hospital operation. You will assist in supervising patient dining, retail cafe, and catering, developing menus, and controlling costs.

You’ll lead 8–10 hourly staff and collaborate with the Executive Chef to launch new culinary programs. The role requires a culinary degree or certificate and experience in high-volume foodservice.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or certificate.
• Catering, institutional/high-volume experience desirable.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food trends, production, sanitation, and food cost controls.
• Must be proficient with computers; MS Office and email.
• Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Executive Chef with cost controls and expenditures.
• Assists with planning and creating menus.
• Produces and executes catering events.
• Leads and develops a team of 8-10 associates.
• Rolls out new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams.
