Job summary

Nebraska Community Blood Bank is seeking a Hospital Services Driver to support hospital transfusion operations in Omaha. The role combines hospital service tasks with delivering orders, demanding accuracy and strong customer service.

Applicants should be able to lift 50lbs, drive professionally, and learn necessary computer systems. Benefits include medical, vision, dental, PTO and a 403(b) retirement plan with generous employer contribution.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50lbs and continuous movement in and out of vehicle.
• 2 years of driving and/or customer service experience.
• Good driving record.
• Good communication skills; both oral and written.
• Ability to learn required computer functions and programs.
• Displays a professional manner.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Performing and overseeing daily Hospital Service tasks.
• Deliver hospital blood component orders; pick ups from Collections Van/Mobiles/Fixed sites.
• Provide outstanding customer service to hospital and external customers.
• Maintain hospital service vehicles, department supplies, required forms, and reports.
• Maintain a working knowledge of federal regulations and industry standards for storage, labeling, distribution and transport of blood components.
• Assist in assuring adequate component inventory and compliance.
