Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a part-time Security Officer for 32 hours per week on the Night shift (Fri–Mon) at 1153 Centre Street, Boston. Responsibilities include patrolling, reporting incidents, and ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.

Requires strong customer service and the ability to de-escalate tense situations. Preference given to candidates with 3–5 years in hospital security or related fields and a Criminal Justice degree.

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas and monitors for security issues.
• Identifies unsafe conditions and improperly secured areas to prevent theft or damage.
• Maintains confidentiality at all times and reports incidents accurately.
• Investigates thefts, disturbances, and potential criminal misconduct; notifies authorities as needed.
• Prepares and submits detailed written reports; maintains logs and documents.
• Operates security dispatch systems and coordinates responses to incidents.
