Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Public Safety Aide at Aurora Sinai Medical Center. You will perform interior and exterior patrols, monitor for hazards, and assist patients with directions and information.

The role requires a high school diploma and a valid driver's license, with about 1 year of public-facing experience. Flexibility for weekends and holidays is expected, and comprehensive benefits are not guaranteed for per-diem schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Typically requires 1 year of experience in public contact.
• Basic computer skills and strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to communicate clearly and maintain courtesy in interactions.
• Flexibility to work off-shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conducts regular interior and exterior patrols to ensure safety and security of the property.
• Inspects exit doors, offices and storerooms for security and hazards.
• Monitors and reports suspicious activity on hospital property and surrounding area.
• May be assigned to a stationary post to deter visitors in a designated area.
• Assists patients and visitors with information and directions.
• Performs routine lost and found pickups.
• Patrols parking lots to ensure adherence to parking policy and may coordinate parking contracts.
• Facilitates enforcement actions and towing as needed.
• Issues parking violations notices and maintains a 12-month violations database.
• Ensures traffic control and reports safety hazards to the LPS Sergeant.
• May perform medical standby in emergencies if required.
