Job summary

Tufts Medical Center in Boston is seeking a Public Safety Officer I to patrol hospital buildings and grounds, deter threats, and respond to emergencies. You will screen vendors, escort patients and staff, and ensure badge visibility while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license; preferred candidates have law enforcement training or an associate degree in Criminal Justice and relevant security experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal and external patrols of facilities and grounds.
• Respond to routine and emergency calls for service and document incidents.
• Escort patients, visitors, staff, and others as needed.
• Identify security vulnerabilities and report deficiencies.
• Control access to authorized personnel and maintain badge policy compliance.
