Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Protective Services Officer Unarmed at the Marshall Nemer Pavilion to ensure safety for patients, visitors and staff. You will perform escorts, patrol premises, monitor access points and respond to routine and emergency calls with professionalism and discretion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association required within 6 months of hire.
• RSFH licensure requirements (armed – TASER) within 6 months and TASER Training within 60 days per SLED guidelines.
• 1–2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides escorts, patrols grounds, and mitigates environment of care safety hazards.
• Deters criminal activity through routine patrols of hospital property including parking decks.
• Enforces hospital policies (parking, visitation, drugs, tobacco-free)
• Monitors security systems and responds to incidents; documents duties and incidents.
