Job summary

Sound Physicians is seeking a Practice Manager to lead on-site operations at our hospital partner, coordinating with hospital leadership and the practice team to ensure smooth daily operations.

You will oversee scheduling, staffing, finances, and compliance, while fostering strong relationships with clinicians and hospital staff in a remote-first culture that values flexibility and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration or related field (equivalent work experience considered).
• 3–5 years of experience in healthcare operations; physician group practice experience preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations.
• Understanding of budgeting and financial processes/principles.
• Knowledge of HR information systems.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the front-line liaison for the clinician team with hospital C-suite, nursing leadership, and Sound operational team.
• Providing executive support to the practice medical director and practice team to meet contract expectations.
• Providing office management functions including all aspects of meeting management, office systems, supplies, and practice events.
• Coordinating with the Medical Director and Practice Management Team to develop and maintain site practice policies and procedures.
• Facilitating daily patient census/reconciliation and daily multi-disciplinary rounds; onboarding and orientation for new clinicians including locums & ambassadors.
• Developing and maintaining practice orientation checklists and policies; coordinating privileging and payer enrollment.
