Job summary

HJ Staffing is seeking a registered Pharmacy Technician for a contract assignment at Austin Hospital. You will keep medications organized, accurate, and moving to patients, while supporting the pharmacy team.

Responsibilities include inventory management, compounding for final check, delivering meds, and assisting with clerical tasks under supervision within TSBP guidelines. Requires active TX license and successful background checks.

Qualifications

Active registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
Experience in pharmaceutical assistance work.
Must maintain a current TSBP license at all times; lapse suspends services.
Valid photo ID.
Negative TB test within the last 12 months.
Able to pass urine drug screen and background check.
Able to pass FBI fingerprint background check (facility provided).

Responsibilities

Manage pharmacy inventory.
Prepare medications for the pharmacist's final check.
Deliver medications to patient care areas.
Conduct medication area inspections.
Provide technical assistance and perform clerical duties.
Guide others as needed.
Work under limited supervision, using initiative and independent judgment within Texas State Board of Pharmacy boundaries.
Follow all professional, legal, and ethical standards, plus hospital, HHSC, and TSBP policies and procedures.
