Qualifications
- Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
- Experience in pharmaceutical assistance work required.
- Experience with Pyxis MedStation System preferred.
- Experience with medication room inspections preferred.
- Experience with manual and automated medication repackaging preferred.

Job description
Responsibilities of the Pharmacy Technician work involves inventory management, preparing medications for a pharmacist final check, delivering medications to patient areas, conducting medication area inspections, providing technical assistance, and performing clerical duties. Provides guidance to others as needed. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment within the boundaries allowed by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. Responsible for adhering to standards of professional, legal, and ethical practice and all applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures and/or guidelines of the hospital, HHSC and Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP).
- Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
- Experience in pharmaceutical assistance work.
- Experience in Pyxis MedStation System preferred.
- Experience with medication room inspections preferred.
- Experience with manual and automated medication repackaging preferred.
- Will abide with agency leave policy, abide with rules, regulations and policies of HHSC and Facility and performs other duties as assigned.
- Will ensure Contract Office has a current license registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy license at all times while providing services at the Facility. Failure to do so will require a suspension of services until an updated license is provided and no monetary penalty will be assessed against the Facility for such suspension in services.
- Must be available for nine consecutive days of training, M-F 8-5

- 40-hours/week
- Rotating Schedule
- Shifts- Monday-Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm or 8:30am - 5:30pm
