Job summary

Hennepin Healthcare's Whittier Clinic Community Pharmacy is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for a full-time, in-person role. You will assist pharmacists, process prescriptions, manage billing, and help with insurance claims.

Bilingual Spanish/English is required to support a diverse patient base. The position involves daily tasks from prescription entry to medication delivery coordination, with emphasis on accuracy, customer service, and adherence to Minnesota Board of Pharmacy rules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current MN State Board Pharmacy Technician registration.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification within 1 year of hire, paid by employee.
• Or current Intern License with MN Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and direct calls within the pharmacy department.
• Prepack, label, and dispense prescriptions after pharmacist review.
• Maintain cash registers, card machines, and daily deposits.
• Coordinate medication deliveries to patients and clinical areas.
• Enter outpatient prescriptions and document in EMR.
• Triages orders, checks for insurance issues, and initiates prior authorizations.
• Assist with inventory, stock medications, and remove expired products.
• Provide excellent customer service and uphold pharmacy policies.
