Job summary

Duke Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II- Medication History on-site in Durham, NC. This full-time role collaborates with transitions of care to interview patients about their medications and supports the clinical team with dispensing and safety procedures.

The position requires NC pharmacy registration, and PTCB/ExCPT certification with at least one year of related experience. A $2,500 commitment bonus is offered for newly hired team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program.
• Minimum of one year of related experience.
• North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration is required.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medication history interviews with patients.
• Assist with prescription processing and medication distribution.
• Restock cabinets and anesthesia workstations as needed.
• Answer and screen telephone calls, directing to appropriate personnel.
• Support pharmacist with medication safety and patient follow-up.
• Deliver medications and supplies to patient care areas.
• Assist with training of new employees.
