Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Pharmacy Student Intern to assist under the supervision of a Clinical Pharmacist and Pharmacy Supervisors. The role involves preparing and distributing medications, IV solutions, and parenteral admixtures, while upholding department policies.

The position requires enrollment in an accredited pharmacy degree program with year 2 completed, and Pharmacy Student Intern registration.

Formación

• Must be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy degree program and must have completed year 2.
• Registration as Pharmacy Student Intern is required.
• 0–1 year of related work experience.
• Basic familiarity with computers and ability to navigate web-based applications.

Responsabilidades

• Develop familiarity with medications, generic and trade names, dosages, and conversions.
• Distribute meds via automated cabinetry, monitor discharge/transfer lists, manage bins.
• Deliver medications with appropriate labels.
• Repackage tablets, capsules, liquids, and assign expiration dates.
• Handle controlled substances and investigational drugs.
• Prepare topical and irrigation solutions and restock inventory.
• Check for expired meds and maintain stock levels in unit dose areas.
• Prepare and label drugs/solutions for compounding and aseptic preparation.
