Qualifications

• Requires vocational or technical training in pharmacy.
• Registration as Pharmacy Student Intern is required.
• 0–1 year of related work experience.
• Basic familiarity with computers and basic navigation of web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Gains familiarity with medications: names, administration, dosages, and conversions.
• Repackages tablets and liquids; operates packaging equipment; assigns expiration dates.
• Restocks floor stock and automated dispensing cabinetry; checks for expired meds.
• Charges and credits medications in the computer system.
• Prepares worklists, labels and assemblies; performs aseptic technique in parenteral admixtures in laminar flow hood.
• Maintains OR stock; completes OR related charging/documentation.
• Assists with intravenous preparation and chemotherapy medications; supports investigational meds.
