Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Pharmacy Student Intern to support inpatient medication delivery under the supervision of an inpatient pharmacist. You will learn the drug distribution system, ensure safe and timely delivery, and assist with compiling medication histories and verification tasks.

The role requires a Pharmacy Student Intern license or Doctor of Pharmacy student status, with 0–1 years of relevant experience, and familiarity with web-based systems and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Must be a Pharmacy Student Intern or a Doctor of Pharmacy student enrolled in an accredited program.
• 0–1 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Delivers medications to patient care units following policies and regulations.
• Accurately fills medications from the automated dispensing list.
• Interviews patients for medication histories and verifies regimens as needed.
• Notifies pharmacists of workflow issues and assists with compounding as required.
