• Familiarizes with medications: generic and trade names, dosages and administration.
• Distributes medications via automated cabinetry and monitors discharge lists.
• Delivers medications with proper labeling.
• Repackages tablets, capsules and liquids; manages expiration dates.
• Handles controlled substances and investigational drugs.
• Prepares topical and irrigation solutions.
• Restocks unit dose stock and automated cabinetry.
• Prepares and labels drugs for compounding; aseptic technique for parenteral admixtures.
• Maintains OR pharmacy stock and related documentation.
