The Internal Patient Transporter at Towne Park provides courteous hospitality while moving patients by wheelchair, stretcher or bed throughout the hospital. The role emphasizes attentive service and safe patient transportation within the clinical environment.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, explaining procedures, coordinating with clinical staff, and ensuring patient comfort and safety during transport. Prior transport or patient service experience is welcomed; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a criminal background, MVR and drug screen.
• Wheelchair Safety Training must be completed via Towne Park.
• HIPAA Training required where applicable by Towne Park or hospital.
• Work Experience: 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Internal Patient Transport experience preferred.
• Computer experience preferred.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and moving people.
• Reading and writing standard English required.

Responsabilités

• Greet and assist patients promptly in a courteous manner.
• Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Communicate patient needs to clinical staff and perform handoffs.
• Transport patients using wheelchair, stretcher or bed.
• Maintain patient charts and assist with wayfinding and room presentation.
