Job summary

Towne Park LLC seeks a dedicated Internal Patient Transporter at our hospital location. You will assist with patient movement by wheelchair, stretcher or bed, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy.

This role requires excellent customer service, adherence to HIPAA, and the ability to work sunrise shifts 6:30am-3pm Monday to Friday; training provided; benefits include insurance options and 401k.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18+ and able to pass a background, MVR and drug screen.
• Wheelchair safety training and HIPAA training provided by Towne Park/hospital.

Responsibilities

• Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with patients and staff.
• Greet patients within 30 seconds and use patient last name when appropriate.
• Explain procedures prior to transport; ensure patient comfort and privacy.
• Communicate patient needs to clinical staff and perform handoffs.
• Transport patients using wheelchair, stretcher or bed and secure charts as needed.
• Use patient transport tracking system and log sheets; handle oxygen tanks as requested.
• Follow Towne Park phone etiquette and proper room presentation.
• Provide way finding assistance and know hospital and area amenities.
