Job summary

Towne Park is seeking an Internal Patient Transporter to provide hospitality during patient transport within the hospital. You will move patients in wheelchairs, stretchers or beds and assist in delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, explaining procedures, coordinating with clinical staff and maintaining patient safety and privacy. The role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and adherence to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and pass a background check, MVR and drug screen.
• Must complete Towne Park Wheelchair Safety Training.
• Must complete HIPAA Training as required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients within 30 seconds and maintain professionalism.
• Explain procedures before transport and ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Communicate patient needs to clinical staff and hand off to receiving team.
• Ensure patients are not left unattended and manage transport charts.
• Use transport tracking system and assist with equipment and safety protocols.
• Follow Towne Park etiquette and provide area directions and wayfinding.
