Melrose/Wakefield Hospital is seeking a general maintenance technician to perform a variety of duties across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and preventative maintenance in hospital facilities. This full-time night-shift role supports the Plant Operations team at our Melrose, MA campus.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least one year of building maintenance experience, plus on-the-job training in trades. The job includes snow removal and safety compliance responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of building maintenance experience.
• On-the-job training in one or more building trades.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical repairs such as switches, ballasts, motors, motor controls, etc.
• Perform plumbing tasks such as drains and fixtures, rodding and cleaning.
• Perform minor carpentry such as doors, shelving, locks, etc.
