Job summary

Melrose/Wakefield Hospital is seeking a full-time General Maintenance Worker to perform a broad range of duties across building trades, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and roof maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• On the job training in one or more building trades.
• Preferred vocational/trade school program completed.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical repairs (switches, ballasts, motors, controls).
• Performs plumbing tasks (drains, fixtures, rodding, cleaning).
• Performs minor carpentry (doors, shelving, locks).
• Provides preventive maintenance on hospital equipment and systems.
• Assists with snow removal and related maintenance tasks.
